PANAMAX SURGE PROTECTOR LIFETIME PRODUCT WARRANTY AND CONNECTED EQUIPMENT WARRANTY

PRODUCT WARRANTY

The Panamax surge protector you have just purchased is the finest surge protector made. All standard Panamax protectors carry a lifetime warranty. For product replacement see "Notification" below.

Panamax warrants to the purchaser of any standard Panamax surge protector, for his or her life, that the surge protector shall be free of defects in design, material or workmanship, and Panamax will repair or replace any defective unit. Panamax will also repair or replace any standard Panamax protector that has suffered damage from a lightning surge* or line overvoltage.

CONNECTED EQUIPMENT WARRANTY

Panamax will replace or pay to repair equipment that is damaged by an AC power, cable, telephone or lightning surge while connected to a properly installed Panamax surge protector if the Panamax surge protector shows signs of surge damage or is operating outside of design specifications. THIS WARRANTY IS SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS BELOW.

1. PROPER INSTALLATION: Panamax AC protectors must be directly plugged into a properly grounded 3-wire AC outlet. Extensions cords or adapters must not be used.** Building wiring and other connections to protected equipment must conform to applicable codes (NEC or CEC). No other ground wires or ground connections may be used. All wires (including, e.g., telephone lines, signal/data lines, coax cable, antenna lead-ins) leading into the protected equipment must pass through a single Panamax protector. The protector and the equipment to be protected must be indoors, and in the same building. Panamax installation instructions and diagrams must be followed.

2. NOTIFICATION: A return authorization number must first be obtained from the Customer Service Department at 1-800-472-5555 before returning the protector to Panamax. At this time, you must notify Panamax if you believe you have a claim for connected equipment. The protector, labeled with the authorization number, must be returned to Panamax. Panamax will forward to you an information package to be completed and returned within 30 days. Panamax reserves the right to inspect the damaged connected equipment, parts, or circuit board, as well as the customers facility (at Panamax's expense). Damaged part(s) must remain available for inspection by Panamax until the claim is finalized.

3. DETERMINATION OF FAILURE: The Panamax protector must show signs of surge damage, or must be performing outside of design specifications.

4. CLAIM PAYMENTS: Once Panamax has determined that you are entitled to compensation, Panamax will, at it's election, pay you the present fair market value of the damaged equipment; or pay for the cost of the repair, or send you replacement equipment.

* Standard Panamax protectors are designed to eliminate the disruptive and damaging effects of momentary (<1 millisecond) voltage spikes or impulses from lightning or other power transients.\

** The use of a Panamax extension cord (part#GEC1410) will not invalidate the warranty.
